Ultimate Yu-Gi-Oh! Life Points Calculator
Welcome to the most immersive Yu-Gi-Oh! LP Tracker available as a Progressive Web App (PWA). This tool is designed for duelists who want to manage their life points with style, featuring sound effects and anime-inspired visual cues.
How to use this Duel Calculator
- Life Points Tracking: Use the dedicated grid buttons to add or subtract LP for Player 1 and Player 2. You can perform calculations in batches before applying them.
- Timer: The duel timer starts automatically as soon as you select the starting LP (8000, 4000, or custom 16000 for tag duels).
- Tools: Includes a built-in Coin Toss and Dice Roll feature to resolve card effects like 'Time Wizard' or 'Snipe Hunter' without needing physical props.
Why use a Web App for Yu-Gi-Oh?
Unlike native apps, this tracker works directly in your browser and can be installed on your home screen without taking up significant space. It saves battery compared to heavy 3D animated apps while maintaining the "feel" of the anime series.
Quick Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Rules Reference
Managing Life Points (LP) is crucial, but keeping track of the duel phases is just as important for a fair game. Here is a quick refresher on the standard turn structure compliant with Master Rule 5.
1. Draw Phase
The turn player draws one card from their Deck. If a player cannot draw a card because their Deck is empty, they lose the duel immediately. Trap cards and Quick-Play Spells can be activated in this phase.
2. Standby Phase
Some card effects activate specifically in this phase (e.g., maintenance costs or recurring effects). If no cards mention the Standby Phase, play proceeds immediately to the next phase.
3. Main Phase 1
This is the primary phase for strategic moves. A player can: Normal Summon or Set a monster (once per turn), Special Summon monsters, activate Spell/Trap cards, and change monster battle positions.
4. Battle Phase
This phase is optional (except for the very first turn of the duel). It consists of the Start Step, Battle Step, Damage Step (where Life Points are calculated using this app), and End Step. Remember: damage calculation follows strict chain rules!
5. Main Phase 2 & End Phase
If the Battle Phase was conducted, the player gets a second Main Phase to Set Spells/Traps or Summon monsters before ending the turn. Finally, in the End Phase, temporary effects expire, and hand size limits are checked.
